FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our raw honey has not been heated above 110° F to maintain all of the enzymes and probiotics that are naturally occurring in honey. It also contains small amounts of beeswax, propolis, and pollen that are all a part of the hive.

This is a natural process and proof of the purity of our honey. It is a process known as crystallization. Raw honey is a supersaturated solution that has high levels of glucose and fructose in not much water (honey is 17 – 18% water, on average). The glucose molecules over time will bind together to form crystalline structures. Simply place your honey jar in a hot water bath (do not exceed 115° F) and the honey will return to a liquid state. Depending on the amount of honey, it may take a long time to return to a full liquid state.
